Here’s a picture of a hair up i did at the weekend. Laure was going to a wedding, she wanted her hair up and was wearing a 1950′s style dress. The style i went for was somewhere in between the 40′s and 50′s. I set the hair with a heated barrol then brushed out to create volume and body. I sprayed hairspray and proceeded to roll the hair up from the sides, one side at a time then meeting in the middle. I kept the fringe out and curled it inwards to create a roll. 2 flowers were added for instant glamour!
Gillian Napier Wedding Friday 3rd June 2011
A bit late with this one as have been very busy! Gillian was married at the Peebles Hydro, it is a lovely great building with beautiful surroundings the lawns are huge and they were so lucky with probably the nicest day in a long time! Let’s hope that wasn’t our summer!! Gillian’s wedding was all about glamour and both she and the bridesmaids looked very glamorous! The bridesmaids were in short ruffled silver dresses with diamontes over the bust. Gillian looked gorgeous in her stunning fishtail dress with plunging neckline. As with any glamourous occasion you would expect lots of fake eyelashes, today was no different with the emphasis being on the eyes for the bride. Her eyes were bold and elegant with lashes and a thick line of ‘Black Black’ liner which made her eyes stand out. The lips were nude and creamy using Hue and Whirl lipliner. Her blusher, ‘Warm Soul’ added a bronze/pink glow to her cheeks. We went for a sophisticated and elegant look with the make up, while still looking like she had make up on and bold.
Congratulations to you both! xx
Laura braithwaite wedding! Sunday 29th May 2011
May 31st, 2011
What a day to get married! I went to the Malmaison hotel in Leith, Edinburgh where Laura and her bridesmaids and family were getting ready for their big day. The wind was howling and rain lashing at intervals, but Laura remained calm an composed for her wedding at 2pm in the Botanic gardens. It was touch and go as to whether it would have to be moved inside as the weather was so unpredictable! While she was having her make up done she got the call to say they thought it best to have it inside. A wise move I think! Laura looked beautiful in a strapless tulle dress with lace all through it. Her hair was softly curled with small daisies and other flowers scattered through it, very Romantic, as she had requested. Her make up was dewy and radiant and her eyes were a light gold colour with a hint of deep forest green and a little touch of reflects pearl glitter to add sparkle to the day! Congratulations, I hope you had a brilliant day and the weather didn’t spoil it! X
Teeth whitening
May 9th, 2011
Thinking of getting your teeth whitened for your wedding day? From experience of my friends and brides, I know this can be quite costly and sometimes not always effective. So, on a trip to my dentist I enquired about it, how much it would cost ( a lot! ) and if it was any good? He told me about Crest White Strips, you buy them off eBay from America. They are amazing!! They are strips which you put along your lower and upper teeth for half an hour a day for 2 weeks. A friend of mine also swears by them. My teeth are noticeably whiter, I can now wear my favourite MAC vegas volts and lady danger lipsticks without making my teeth look yellow! These are 2 orange and bright red shades perfect for summer!
whoops!

Hello!
February 17th, 2011
Hello everyone!
So a new year and a new look to my website! I have decided to start blogging, to let you know what im up to and going to be doing in the future. As you will see from my two new pages added to the website i have been busy setting up another business with my sister in law, Bronagh. It’s called Hotwax, we specialise in Brazilians and Hollywoods (the proper way!!!) using hotwax instead of strip wax. Hotwax is much less painful than strip wax, especially for the more sensitive areas. We also do Xtreme Lashes, the most amazing semi permanent eyelashes! Perfect for your wedding day and honeymoon, lasting indefinatley with 2/3 weekly infills. They are so natural looking you can’t tell they are not your own, individually adhered to each one of your own eyelashes and naturally shedding with your hair cycle, a firm favourite with celebrities and brides.
